Maroon Connection featured at National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Singapore’s World Hand Hygiene Day 2026 Event

To commemorate World Hand Hygiene Day which happens on 05 May 2026 - a day established by WHO to implement hand hygiene compliance monitoring and feedback to be established in all reference hospitals worldwide, National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Singapore organised their own World Hand Hygiene Day Event on 06 May 2026 at their headquarters at Kim Keat to showcase various sustainable and sanitisation solutions
Main Objectives of WHHD
Promote optimal hand hygiene practices (using the appropriate technique and according to the WHO 5 Moments) within the health care workflow
Promote inclusion of hand hygiene within national IPC action plans, as well as standard operating procedures (SOPs) at facility level, according to the recommendations of the WHO Global action plan and monitoring framework indicators and targets to be achieved incrementally by 2030
Raise awareness that one of the WHO global action plan and monitoring framework indicators on IPC is hand hygiene compliance monitoring and feedback, to be established as a key national indicator, at the very least in all reference hospitals by 2026
Encourage countries to act to improve IPC, including hand hygiene, as outlined by WHO

Day at NKF Singapore's World Hand Hygiene Day 2026
At NKF Singapore's World Hand Hygiene Day event, Maroon Connection showcased our commercial ultraviolet sterilisers alongside our standing automatic hand sanitiser system, which sprays disinfectant liquid directly onto users’ hands for convenient and hygienic sanitisation
Despite an unexpected last-minute scheduling hiccup, we worked swiftly and efficiently with NKF Singapore to ensure the booth was fully prepared within a short timeframe
Through teamwork, dedication, and careful coordination, we successfully completed the setup and ensured the event proceeded smoothly as planned
We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude towards NKF Singapore for the invitation as one of the key featured exhibitors, support, and opportunity to collaborate on such a meaningful initiative centred around public health and infection prevention. It was encouraging to see so much strong interest in our hygiene and sanitisation solutions throughout the event
